Artist's Description
I fell in love with the variety of lined black and white upholstery fabrics and the soft curves of the flowers. I made this by cutting and layering each piece of fabric like you would in a jig saw puzzle.
About Vivian Aumond
I am blessed to live in the midst of nature; its beauty inspires me each day with the changing of the seasons, the leaves turning colors and the animals that wander through the fields. My art can be quiet and thought-provoking or wild and colorful. I enjoy adding a variety of beads, buttons and found objects on my mixed media fiber pieces. I am known for my hand dyes, and I paint many of the fabrics. My art is featured in several books, as well as Showcase 500 Beaded Jewelry, and 100 Artisan Textiles.
