Artist's Description
“Celebration of Day of the Dead” is a print of a fabric wall hanging I made a few years ago. Size: 35.5 W” x 35.5 L”
I included Batik fabric, and commercial fabric. There are hand dyed fabrics that I have dyed. It is machine pieced, quilted and hand stitched.
This wall hanging has 16 little beads in the center of the flowers and around the Madonna.
23 pearls are scattered around the center of the flowers. Over 222 beads of various sizes, and 22 buttons, hand sewn on the design.
It is also embellished with skulls, clay beads, and bone beads from Mexico.
Small skulls and religious medallions are scattered around the design.

I am blessed to live in the midst of nature; its beauty inspires me each day with the changing of the seasons, the leaves turning colors and the animals that wander through the fields. My art can be quiet and thought-provoking or wild and colorful. I enjoy adding a variety of beads, buttons and found objects on my mixed media fiber pieces.
